i’m trying to replace an old b&d 7504 & 7530.

i now have b&d’s js200k, and a skil 4490-01 (home depot exclusive??). which do you think is better and why?

i need a basic saw that has (if possible) a movable footplate, and a guide. nothing big or fancy.

please leave your opinion and why you feel the way you do.
thanks!

  1. The top of the line Bosch - operates smoother than a baby’s bottom.

  2. i have never gone wrong with a porter cabel jig saw and they last

  3. I might go for the skill first but look at the foot and see if one looks stronger then the other they seam to be one of the weak links on cheap units to me the motors last a good amount of time normaly so just look for the good build

  4. the best…..DeWalt…

  5. I have tried them all. Bosch cuts the best!

  6. BIGG DOGG! You da man!
    Dewalt RULES.
Best jig-saw I ever bought. And the last one I’ll ever have to buy.
20 years & 5 jig saws later. I finally figuered it out!
